Stellenbosch's magnificent mountains will play host to the 2012 Eendracht Hotel Vista Trail Run, a more challenging 12 km trail run and a 5 km fun run perfect for families.. The event will be in aid of two children's charities, the Anna Foundation in Stellenbosch and the President Kruger Children's Home in Reddersburg.

THE ROUTES
Both routes will start at Coetzenburg Athletics Stadium, run across the sports fields and then turn to the foot of the Stellenbosch Mountain. The Eendracht Hotel Vista Trail Run course winds through fynbos, indigenous bush and eucalyptus and offers magnificent views of Stellenbosch, the Winelands, False Bay and Table Mountain. The route's surfaces differ between technical single tracks, level jeep tracks, a small pavement section, and also include tartan and grass.
WATER
One water point will be provided along the 5km route and three along the 12km one.
ENTRY
Entries will open in February 2012.

The Stellenbosch University Sport Performance Institute (SUSPI) provides a number of running-specific services to runners of all skill levels. MEDALS AND RESULTS
1500 participant awards will be given -- the first 1000 participants to complete the 12km route and the first 500 to complete the 5km.
Only the 12km race is timed.
Results will be made available on the race website after the event.
PRIZE-GIVING
A prize-giving ceremony will be held at 09:30. Trophies will be given to winners as well as lucky draw prizes to participants.

Eendracht Hotel Vista 2012 is presented by Gereformeerde Kerk Stellenbosch in association with Stellenbosch Athletics Club according to the rules of Boland Athletics and Athletics South Africa, for the sole benefit of two children's charities, Anna Foundation (Stellenbosch) and Pres. Kruger Children's Home (Reddersburg).
